Decorating the house is taking a while (of course), but the one small area that feels more or less 'done' is this corner of my office, so I wanted to share a few photos of it...
I considered a lot of options for storing my jewelry supplies & tools. I wanted to keep the desk uncluttered yet have everything within arm's reach. So I installed a ledge shelf for my spools of chain, wire, and vials of beads & pendants, and below that, a magnetic strip for tools. Up above is a linen pinboard for displaying and storing jewelry.
To the left of the work area are a few shelves with personal mementos, house plants, a couple books, photos, and so on. I'll probably swap out these objects every so often to keep it fresh.
Under the desk is a storage unit that houses stuff like kraft boxes and extra beads and ring sizing tools. Before this, I just used a plastic bin, and had to dig through everything to get what I wanted. It seems so obvious in hindsight, but better organization really does make a huge difference in productivity.
On the other side of the room, not pictured, is a mass of shipping supplies and Mignon inventory. I still have some serious organizing to do, and a couple empty walls to cheer up, but it's coming along!
